Ingredients

  • 6 Hawaiian sweet rolls whole pack
  • 6 eggs
  • 6 slices cheddar cheese
  • 6 slices cooked ham or turkey
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley optional
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter for brushing

Instructions

Prepare the Rolls

  • Take the Hawaiian rolls and slice them in half. Keep the top and bottom connected as a slab. This makes assembling easier. Place the bottom half on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.

Cook the Eggs

  • Crack eggs into a bowl. Add milk, salt, and pepper. Whisk well until smooth. Heat a pan and cook scrambled eggs on low heat. Stir gently until soft and fluffy, not dry or overcooked.

Add the Filling

  • Spread cooked eggs evenly over the bottom half of the rolls. Add slices of ham or turkey on top. Then place cheddar cheese slices over the meat layer for a rich, creamy taste.

Close the Sandwiches

  • Place the top half of the Hawaiian rolls over the filling. Press gently so everything stays together. The layers should look neat and even before baking.

Brush with Butter

  • Melt butter and lightly brush it over the top of the rolls. This gives a golden color and soft crust. You can also sprinkle parsley for extra flavor and color.

Bake Until Golden

  • Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Bake the sandwiches for 12 to 15 minutes. The cheese will melt and the tops will turn lightly golden and crispy.

Slice and Serve

  • Remove from oven and let cool for 2 minutes. Cut along the roll lines to separate sandwiches. Serve warm for the best taste and soft texture.

Notes

  • Use bacon instead of ham for a smoky flavor
  • Add spinach for a healthier version
  • Try mozzarella for extra gooey cheese
  • Brush garlic butter for stronger taste
  • Make it spicy with chili flakes or hot sauce
  • Use mini sausages for kid-friendly version
