Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups whole milk
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate syrup
  • 2 tablespoons mini chocolate chips
  • Pinch of salt
  • Marshmallows
  • Whipped cream
  • Extra chocolate syrup for topping

Instructions

Mix the Base

  • Take a mixing bowl and add milk, heavy cream, cocoa powder, sugar, and salt. Whisk slowly until everything is fully dissolved. The mixture should look smooth and chocolatey with no lumps left.

Add Flavor Boost

  • Now add vanilla extract and chocolate syrup. Stir again until fully combined. This step makes the base rich and closer to real hot chocolate flavor. Taste lightly if needed and adjust sweetness.

Freeze the Mixture

  • Pour the mixture into a Ninja Creami pint container. Do not overfill it. Cover it with the lid tightly. Place it in the freezer for at least 12 hours until fully solid.

Process in Ninja Creami

  • Remove the frozen pint from the freezer. Place it into the Ninja Creami machine. Select the “Ice Cream” setting and let it spin. It will turn into a creamy, frozen dessert.

Check Texture

  • After the first spin, check texture. If it looks crumbly, add a splash of milk. Then use the “Re-spin” option. This makes the ice cream extra smooth and creamy.

Add Mix-Ins

  • Create a small hole in the center of the ice cream. Add mini chocolate chips or marshmallows. Run the “Mix-In” function. This spreads toppings evenly.

Serve and Enjoy

  • Scoop the frozen hot chocolate ice cream into bowls. Add whipped cream or chocolate syrup on top. Serve immediately for the best creamy texture and flavor.

Notes

  • Use almond milk for a lighter version
  • Add espresso powder for mocha flavor
  • Replace sugar with honey or maple syrup
  • Add crushed cookies for extra crunch
  • Freeze longer for firmer texture
  • Always level the mixture before freezing
