Ingredients

  • 1 box Ghirardelli brownie mix
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips optional
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts optional

Instructions

Preheat Oven

  • Turn your oven on to 350°F or 175°C. This helps brownies bake evenly and get a perfect texture.

Prepare Baking Pan

  • Grease a baking pan lightly with oil or butter. You can also line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

Mix Ingredients

  • In a bowl, add brownie mix, oil, water, and egg. Stir slowly until smooth. Do not overmix the batter.

Add Extras

  • If you like, add chocolate chips or nuts. Mix gently so they spread evenly through the batter.

Pour Batter

  • Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan. Spread it evenly using a spatula for smooth baking.

Bake Brownies

  • Place the pan in the oven. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. The top should look shiny and slightly cracked.

Check Doneness

  • Insert a toothpick in the center. It should come out with a few moist crumbs, not wet batter.

Cool Brownies

  • Let brownies cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then move them to a cooling rack.

Cut and Serve

  • Cut into squares once cooled. Serve with milk or ice cream for extra sweetness.

Notes

  • Add peanut butter swirl for rich taste
  • Use milk instead of water for extra softness
  • Add caramel chips for sweetness
  • Do not overbake for fudgy texture
  • Chill brownies for cleaner slices
