Ingredients

  • 2 cups pasta penne or rotini
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes halved
  • 1 cup mozzarella balls
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

Cook the Pasta

  • Boil water in a large pot. Add salt and pasta. Cook until soft but firm. Drain and let it cool.

Prepare Vegetables

  • Wash cherry tomatoes and basil leaves. Cut tomatoes in halves. Keep mozzarella balls ready in a bowl.

Make Creamy Dressing

  • In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, Greek yogurt, olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until smooth.

Combine Pasta and Veggies

  • Add cooled pasta into a large bowl. Mix in tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil leaves gently.

Add Dressing

  • Pour creamy dressing over pasta mixture. Mix slowly so everything is coated well.

Chill the Salad

  • Place salad in fridge for 20–30 minutes. This helps flavors blend better.

Serve Fresh

  • Remove from fridge and give a light stir. Serve cold for best taste.

Notes

  • Use whole wheat pasta for healthier option
  • Add grilled chicken for protein
  • Use olive oil instead of mayo for lighter version
  • Add olives for extra flavor
  • Sprinkle parmesan cheese on top
