Ingredients
  

  • 500 g chicken breast or thighs
  • 2 tablespoons harissa paste
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Prepare the Chicken

  • Wash and cut the chicken into medium pieces. Pat dry using a paper towel. This helps the seasoning stick better and cook evenly.

Make the Marinade

  • In a bowl, mix harissa paste, honey, olive oil, garlic, paprika, salt, pepper, and lemon juice. Stir until smooth. This creates a sweet and spicy marinade.

Marinate the Chicken

  • Add chicken pieces into the marinade. Mix well so every piece is coated. Cover and let it rest for at least 20 minutes. Longer marination gives better flavor.

Heat the Pan

  • Place a frying pan on medium heat. Add a little olive oil. Let it heat for a few seconds before cooking the chicken.

Cook the Chicken

  • Add marinated chicken to the pan. Cook for 8–10 minutes on each side. Stir occasionally until the chicken is fully cooked and slightly caramelized.

Add Extra Glaze

  • Pour remaining marinade into the pan. Let it cook for a few minutes until it thickens. This creates a sticky, flavorful coating on the chicken.

Check Doneness

  • Make sure the chicken is fully cooked inside. It should be juicy, tender, and slightly golden on the outside.

Serve Hot

  • Remove from heat and transfer to a serving plate. Garnish with fresh parsley. Serve warm for best taste.
