  • 1 box Betty Crocker chocolate cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract optional

Preheat the Oven

  • Set your oven to 180°C (350°F). Let it heat fully before baking. This helps the cake cook evenly and rise properly.

Prepare the Baking Pan

  • Grease your baking pan with oil or butter. You can also use parchment paper. This prevents the cake from sticking.

Mix the Ingredients

  • In a large bowl, add cake mix, eggs, water, and oil. Mix everything until smooth. No dry lumps should remain.

Add Extra Flavor

  • Add vanilla extract if you want extra flavor. Mix again gently so the batter stays light and fluffy.

Pour the Batter

  • Pour the cake batter into the prepared pan. Spread it evenly using a spatula. Tap the pan lightly to remove air bubbles.
