Ingredients

  • 1 box Betty Crocker brownie mix
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 large eggs
  • Optional: 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • Optional: 1/4 cup chopped nuts

Instructions

Preheat the Oven

  • Start by preheating your oven to 180°C (350°F). This step is very important. A hot oven helps brownies cook evenly. Prepare your baking pan by greasing it lightly or using parchment paper for easy removal later.

Mix the Ingredients

  • Take a large bowl and add the brownie mix, oil, water, and eggs. Stir slowly until everything blends well. Do not overmix. The batter should look thick and smooth. This is the secret to soft brownies.

Add Extras

  • If you like extra flavor, now is the time to add chocolate chips or nuts. Mix them gently into the batter. This adds texture and makes your brownies more fun to eat.

Pour into Pan

  • Pour the batter into your prepared pan. Use a spatula to spread it evenly. Make sure the surface is smooth so the brownies bake evenly.

Bake the Brownies

  • Place the pan in the oven and bake for about 20 to 25 minutes. Check with a toothpick. If it comes out with a few moist crumbs, your brownies are ready.

Cool and Slice

  • Let the brownies cool completely before cutting. This helps them set properly. Slice into squares and enjoy your homemade treat.

Notes

  • Do not overbake. It makes brownies dry.
  • Use butter instead of oil for richer flavor.
  • Add a swirl of peanut butter for a twist.
  • Sprinkle sea salt on top for a sweet and salty taste.
  • Use milk instead of water for extra softness.
